In September 2015, as the school year began, Olentangy Local SD’s existing single sign-on (SSO) system was failing under pressure. The system was slow, unreliable, and limited to handling only 1,000 users, causing widespread frustration among students, teachers, and administrators.
Recognizing that the current SSO system could not keep up with the district’s needs, Olentangy began searching for a replacement. Several options were considered, and the district initiated a trial to find the best solution.
