Situated near the Oklahoma–Arkansas border, Sallisaw Public Schools serves over 1,900, K-12 students across five campuses.
With a close-knit community and a growing student population, Sallisaw is embracing innovation to prepare students for the future. As the district expands, its leaders are building a connected learning environment that grows with them. To support that vision, Sallisaw turned to ClassLink, empowering administrators, teachers, and students alike with the confidence to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
As Sallisaw expanded its use of digital learning tools, the process of managing access became increasingly complex.
Without a single sign-on solution, students and teachers relied on scattered bookmarks. Younger learners wrestled with keyboards, while older students faced password overload. These login issues led to the loss of valuable class time.
Manual rostering only added to the challenge. “The biggest issue on the rostering side is not so much when they come in, but when they come out,” said Scott Mosby, Director of Technology. Offboarding was manual and time-consuming, creating data security risks and unnecessary licensing costs.
Leaders also lacked clear analytics to guide technology investments. The district was left puzzled about which apps to continue purchasing. Vendor reports often overstated usage, leaving the district without a true picture of what was working.
ClassLink became the bridge between digital growth and everyday simplicity.
With Single Sign-On (SSO), logging in is no longer a barrier. “One of the things that’s going to benefit our students the most is that everything’s in one place,” said Edtech Manager Honey Fout. “They don’t have to remember logins or where to go. It’s just all there.” For Student Services Manager Stephanie McClure, the impact in the classroom was immediate: “They’re only signing in one time, then they just click the icon they need. It helps them get in faster and gives teachers more teaching time.”
Behind the scenes, account management also became seamless. Teachers and students now see only what’s relevant to them. “We can provision by grade or class so everything’s organized and accessible,” Honey explained. “It’s more efficient and saves us from chasing down who needs what access.”
We want to make sure that our students can navigate the digital landscape and with ClassLink we’ve given them confidence that they can be successful here.
