LCCC needed a system to streamline access to digital resources for students, faculty, and staff. Managing multiple applications led to frequent login issues, causing frustration among users and overwhelming IT staff with password reset requests. The college sought a single sign-on (SSO) solution that would support various applications, improve user experience, and reduce IT workload.
LCCC implemented ClassLink, launching it as ‘myLCCC’ to simplify access to digital resources. With ClassLink’s single sign-on (SSO) capabilities, students, faculty, and staff could access applications and files from any device using just one login. The built-in password management system allowed users to reset forgotten passwords independently, significantly reducing IT help desk calls. By alleviating these routine issues, IT staff gained the ability to focus on more strategic projects that benefited the college.
Beyond learning applications, myLCCC also integrated orientation resources, making it a comprehensive hub for users. Additionally, ClassLink My Files eliminated the need for VPN logins by providing secure access to school network files from anywhere. With the insights provided by ClassLink Analytics, LCCC’s IT Governance Committee could make data-driven decisions about software renewals and new implementations.
Since we implemented ClassLink, password reset requests have decreased dramatically. The single sign-on implementation could not have been easier, and we have since integrated it with Canvas, Office 365, Ellucian, library resources, and onboarding documentation. We could not be more pleased with how easy this product is to use.
