Q

Will there be an agreement with each Ambassador organization?

Yes, ClassLink Ambassador organizations will need to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ClassLink.

Q

What type of organization can be a ClassLink Ambassador?

The Ambassador program was created with ESA organizations in mind, and for now, we expect to only approve ESA organizations. This link is a list of AESA members who may qualify as ClassLink Ambassadors. Not all ESA’s are members of AESA.

Q

What are the benefits of an organization being a ClassLink Ambassador?

  • Schools identified by the Ambassador organization get a 10% purchase discount on ClassLink licenses.
  • The Ambassador organization gets free training on ClassLink and a member of their team will be a Certified ClassLink Professional.
  • The Ambassador organization gets a rebate, paid annually, on purchases made by schools they identify.
Q

When will the 10% discount for schools be available?

We are announcing the Ambassador program at an upcoming AESA conference for Jan 1, 2021 availability.  Once announced, ESAs can visit classlink.com/ambassador to register.

To be an approved ClassLink Ambassador, organizations will need to:

  • Sign an MOU (and include an initial list of all potential customers who might receive the 10% volume discount, “Potential Customer List”, additional names can be added at anytime).
  • A member from the Ambassador organization must complete an online training course and become a Certified ClassLink Professional.

After the Ambassador organization is approved, subsequent purchases by Potential Customer List members are eligible for discount and rebate.

Q

What are the restrictions on the 10% discount for schools?

  • The 10% discount is off ClassLink standard pricing.
  • The 10% discount can not be combined with any other discounts, except for multi-year discounts.
  • Purchases through 3rd party reseller organizations cannot receive the 10% discount.
  • An Ambassador organization must be selected at the time the 10% discount is applied to the price quote.
  • Only one ClassLink Ambassador can be selected for each price quote.
Q

What are the ongoing obligations for Ambassador organizations?

At least one member of the Ambassador organization must complete an online, ~30-minute training course to become a Certified ClassLink Professional. Certification lasts for two years.

Ambassador organizations are asked the following:

  • Be a knowledgeable resource to their schools who may be considering solutions similar to ClassLink.
  • Where possible, provide opportunities to host informational meetings with school leaders who are already using or considering the use of ClassLink products.
  • Where appropriate, include members of the ClassLink team in meetings with school leaders.
  • Where possible, assist in communicating information and events with school leaders who are already using or considering the use of ClassLink products.
Q

Do ClassLink Ambassador organizations get the rebate on existing ClassLink customers?

  • Yes they can, however it's up to the Ambassador organization to advocate their participation in this program to existing ClassLink clients.
  • Existing ClassLink clients can designate an Ambassador organization if they do not already enjoy some other discount program, e.g. reseller, purchasing contract, etc. (doubling-up on discount programs, with the exception of multi-year discounts, is not permitted).
  • The designation of an Ambassador organization by an existing ClassLink client is effective on the next license renewal date (retroactive designation of an Ambassador organization is not permitted).
  • Existing ClassLink clients can designate an Ambassador organization by sending an email to accounting@classlink.com.
Q

If a region has overlapping Ambassador organizations (e.g., ESA's and some other Ambassador organization), which Ambassador gets the rebate?

  • Schools choose their Ambassador organization at the time the 10% purchase discount is applied to their ClassLink price quote.
  • Schools cannot choose an Ambassador organization if another type of purchase discount has already been applied to their price quote, e.g. reseller discount, purchasing contract, etc. (doubling-up on discount programs, except for multi-year discounts, is not permitted).
Q

How will ClassLink track and pay the rebate?

Shortly after each calendar year, ClassLink's accounting department will produce and deliver annual purchase reports and rebate checks.

Q

Is there a discount if the Ambassador organization wants to purchase ClassLink for internal use?

Yes, Ambassador organizations can purchase ClassLink for internal use with a 10% discount.

Q

Is the discount and rebate retroactive, perhaps for purchases of ClassLink that have happened this year?

  • No, this program is not retroactive.
  • The designation of an Ambassador organization by an existing ClassLink client is effective on the next license renewal date.
