Help Desk / Systems Engineer

Headquartered in Clifton, NJ, ClassLink is a leading education technology company serving schools around the world.

We are looking for a Help Desk and Systems Engineer to join our team. This individual must be a self-starter and have general knowledge in information technology.

Help Desk responsibilities include:

  • Provide customer support for ClassLink products with taking of inbound phone calls, emails, help desk tickets
  • Deploy and maintain ClassLink Products and Solutions
  • Deliver live-online problem diagnosis, resolution, and training for customers of ClassLink products
  • Follow standard Help Desk operating procedures; accurately log all support cases using the defined tracking software
  • Support Windows Servers and desktops
  • Support Systems/Network administration of Windows Server 2008/12+, Active Directory
  • Ensure ClassLink Operations internal support systems (PCs, phones, email, and software) are always operational and maintained.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations

General Requirements:

  • Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide technical support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
  • Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
  • Ability to work with or without direct supervision.

Technical Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • 2-3 years experience in help desk / customer support
  • General IT knowledge and skills (hardware, software troubleshooting)
  • Experience in Windows desktop OS Windows 7,8
  • Experience in Windows Server 2003/08/12 and server environments including experience in Active Directory, Group Policy
  • Experience in Server Based Computing and virtualization technologies

Director of Instructional Technology—Clifton, NJ

We are looking for a Director of Instructional Technology to join our team. This individual must be a self-starter and pick things up, e.g. how to best use our product in the classroom, really quickly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Help advance the usefulness of LaunchPad for new and existing clients.
  • Deliver live-online training.
  • Create materials, e.g. presentation decks, short Youtube videos, hands one lessons/exercises to make training effective and engaging.
  • Create and manage resources in our online learning system.
  • Seek out and relay insights on innovative usage of LaunchPad among clients.
  • Plan and present at ed-tech conferences, lunch and learns and anywhere else you can think of.
  • Help prepare responses to RFPs.
  • Write insightful blog posts.

Requirements

  • Motivated to help students and teachers succeed
  • 4 years as an instructional technologist
  • 4 years as a classroom teacher
  • Ability to create short and simple “how to” videos
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Part Time K12 Curriculum Consultants—Clifton, NJ

We have multiple immediate openings for experienced K-12 Curriculum Consultants to work directly with our clients (NYC area and NJ) to implement Data-Driven Instruction and Differentiated Instruction strategies into the classroom using an online lesson planning and curriculum mapping tool. The consultant must be able to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in the field of education or related area.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in K-12 education.
  • Experience in designing curriculum units in the areas of Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies or related area.
  • Experience in conducting Professional Development workshops with K-12 staff.
  • Comfortable with using technology (Microsoft Office, Moodle, other educational software).

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to travel between schools/sites.
  • Provides educational leadership to districts in the integration of curriculum, instruction and assessment across curricular areas.
  • Provides leadership in designing strategies that infuse content standards, benchmarks, assessments, media and technology into teachers’ planning and practice.

  • Designs and conducts professional development, based on principles of adult learning, for the purpose of improved student achievement.
  • Develops and maintains proper and adequate records and documentation.
  • Assists districts in the development of multiple assessments.
