Another app shouldn’t mean another username and password for students to remember or district teams to manage.
If your district currently uses Form Posts, a non-SSO app, or password lockers for Prodigy, there’s now a simpler option. The new Prodigy OAuth2 application gives students password-free access to Prodigy through ClassLink.
What Changes With the OAuth2 App?
When students open Prodigy through ClassLink, OAuth2 securely exchanges the information needed to sign them in. No separate Prodigy username or password required.
The application is pre-built and available in the ClassLink Global Library. Once it’s set up, your district can share its ClassLink Tenant ID with Prodigy or send roster data through ClassLink Roster Server.
That means:
- Fewer usernames and passwords for students to remember
- Less Prodigy login information for district teams to manage
- One Prodigy app that can be managed and updated system-wide
- No more manual rostering for teachers when you use Roster Server
