IMS Global Honors Stanley Watts for support of education’s fastest growing standard for interoperability

Clifton, NJ – May 26, 2016 – ClassLink announced that its Chief Technology Officer, Stanley Watts, was recognized by IMS Global Learning Consortium as a leader among his peers for his work in supporting the adoption of the IMS OneRoster™, education’s open technology standard for the secure, uniform provisioning of class rosters.

Recently cited as a REVERE Award finalist by the Association of American Publishers, ClassLink continues to garner awards and accolades for its innovative approach in working with schools to better integrate digital learning. ClassLink OneClick enables single sign-on access to web and Windows applications, and instant access to files at school and in the cloud from any device.

During the IMS Global 2016 Learning Impact Leadership Institute’s awards banquet IMS leaders honored Watts, expressing their gratitude for the support of ClassLink and for the efforts of Watts in particular. As part of his mission to improve access for teachers and students, Watts has worked with countless school leaders and counseled dozens of leading publishers and software firms through the OneRoster adoption process.

ClassLink CEO, Berj Akian, was delighted with the recognition bestowed upon Watts, “Stan has worked tirelessly to help move OneRoster™ from a concept to a reality. His work with districts and providers alike has been a key factor in the rapid adoption of this important standard.”

IMS Global Learning’s CEO, Rob Abel, echoed Akian’s sentiments, “Stan is a true partner to schools and to providers. He not only has the superior technical acumen required to advance our specifications, his collaborative approach to working with all stakeholders has helped turn this open tech standard into a bona fide education movement.”

Thanks to its visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to open technology standards, ClassLink is seeing rapid adoption across the U.S. and around the world. Not only are school districts leveraging OneClick single sign-on and ClassLink OneRoster to create faster, more secure access to digital education resources, partners from across the education community are joining with ClassLink to achieve seamless integration.

ClassLink charges no fees to partners, a major barrier with other single sign-on platforms, and is able make connections with incredible speed. This approach is unique to ClassLink among single sign-on platforms and is increasingly recognized as the right approach by education providers everywhere.
