Leading Florida Ed Tech Association Recognizes Chief Academic Officer for Positive Impact
Clifton, NJ – October 18, 2017 – ClassLink announced that its Chief Academic Officer, George Perreault, was recognized by the Florida Association of Education Data Systems (FAEDS) with the prestigious Jack Kelly Award. The honor is bestowed at the discretion of the organization’s Board of Directors and goes to individuals having a positive effect on instructional or administrative technology in education.
During the Association’s annual conference, Perreault was granted this award based on his work with Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) in Florida, where he served as Director, Instructional Technology and Library Media, prior to joining ClassLink. This recognition also stems from his work at ClassLink, where he continues his efforts on behalf of teachers and students as Chief Academic Officer.
Tom Ingram, Director of Information Technology at Escambia County School District (FL), and Past President of FAEDS Board of Directors, applauded Perreault’s recognition, “George has been a tireless champion for the effective use of technology, most notably around issues of equitable access and open data standards.” Ingram continued, “George not only guided OCPS through increasingly sophisticated use of technology in the classroom, he brought his advocacy to ClassLink. He’s a man on a mission, and we’re proud to call him one of our own.”
ClassLink CEO, Berj Akian, echoed Ingram’s sentiments, “This recognition by FAEDS reinforces why we appointed George to the role of Chief Academic Officer. He not only brings a wealth of experience, he brings an unwavering commitment to ensuring that districts and providers both do their upmost to improve digital learning.”
Perreault has received numerous awards during his career, including the ISTE “Making IT Happen” award and a Leadership Award for Effective K-12, HED or Government Leadership and Outreach from IMS Global Learning.
