Unlike the many
mass import tools that just automate the creation of user accounts,
ClassSync is unique in that it synchronizes the full AD schema to your
SIS data.
ClassSync eliminates one of the most time-consuming and repetitive tasks
for the IT Staff. The Active Directory (AD) should only contain validated
student accounts, cross-checked by the SIS. When the AD contains invalid
accounts, grants access to unenrolled students, and generally makes
account management more complex, the IT team can't work to its full
potential.
- Eliminating those excess accounts means:
- Time Savings for the IT staff
- Faster, Streamlined Ongoing Operations
- Increased security (elimination of unauthorized users from system)
- Accuracy for Reporting
- Better Space Management (no more storing files of unenrolled/transferred
or graduated students)
ClassSync can be used an unlimited number of times throughout the school
year to ensure that the AD is current and clean.

This program leads the user step-by-step in cleaning out the
AD to match it exactly to the SIS. There is no training needed
to use ClassSync. It's a simple six-step process outlined in
the Welcome screen and shown below:
|
|
|
After connecting to Active Directory, the SIS
is then imported from your network.
 |
|
|
The next three steps guide you through configuring
and reviewing user templates for the new, updated, and clean Active
Directory. Select your variables from SIS for your customized
AD.
| Important!
The program creates a virtual version of your AD as the
working version as it completes the process. Your AD is
not affected until you give the OK in the last step. |
|
|
|
|
In the last step, you can review the users
that have been created for the new Active Directory, resolve any
issues with accounts that do not match the SIS, and make the final
decision to replace the old AD with the new, updated version.
 |
|
|
It's that simple. An awful, time-consuming task is now automated and
customized for your school, your SIS, and your Active Directory.
