Farimah Schuerman Selected as Finalist for QED Ed Marketer Excellence Award

QED awards program recognizes education industry professionals
for innovation, dedication and leadership

DENVER (July 10, 2006) – Quality Education Data (QED), a Scholastic company and leading provider of integrated marketing services for the pre-K through higher education markets, today announces Farimah Schuerman, Managing Partner of Academic Business Advisors, LLC is a finalist for the Pinnacle Award. It is one of the three awards in the prestigious QED Ed Marketer Excellence Awards program that honors innovative, dedicated, and inspiring individuals in the field of education marketing.

QED began the annual awards program three years ago to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of marketing leaders in the education industry. No other awards program recognizes education marketing professionals exclusively. Farimah Schuerman is included among the two finalists for Pinnacle Award. A panel of eight top education industry professionals reviewed the nominations and determined the finalists. The 2006 QED Ed Marketer Excellence Awards recipients will be announced during the 11th Annual QED Forum held July 17-19 in Denver.

“Through their ingenuity, hard work and immense passion for education, the finalists for the QED Ed Marketer Excellence Awards are helping raise the bar in the field of education marketing,” said QED General Manager Andy Lacy. “Education marketing professionals work within a unique and growing industry. They must be flexible to adapt to the ever-changing education landscape with new laws and standards and greater demands for student achievement, as well as to see the opportunities in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”

Farimah was nominated by the ClassLink management team. She has been a key to the success of the organization. Her input has been so substantial that she was invited on to the Board of Directors in 2005. She has provided invaluable advice on a variety of disciplines including Marketing, Management, and Strategy.

“People who choose to work in the Education industry are largely mission-driven folks who have found a balance between the very real need to earn a living and the ideal of making difference in the world through improving Education. If that really is your mission, you have an obligation to find ways to pass along whatever you've learned, as generously as you can, to those of the next generation,” says Farimah Schuerman.
