WEEHAWKEN, NJ, July 15, 2008 — ClassLink, Inc. — delivering 24/7 access to learning tools –announced the winners of this year’s ClassLink College Scholarship Program. The program is open to high school seniors at participating ClassLink schools who are interested in furthering their education at a two or four-year college. This year’s winners were selected from a pool of extremely qualified candidates and hailed from Enlarged City School District of Middletown in Middletown, NY and Steel Center Area Vocational Technical School in Jefferson Hills, PA. This year’s topic asked students to write about how specifically technology can be used in the classroom to improve learning and instruction. ClassLink, recent winner of two prestigious CODiE awards for excellence and innovation in K-12 software programs, selected Amelia Fish of Middletown HS and Donald Rarick of Steel Center AVTS as the finalists in this year’s competition. They both demonstrated an understanding of the correlation between education and technology and how integral this has become in our K-12 schools. “Both students’ academic excellence and winning essay submissions made them the ideal candidates for this award. We are confident they will continue their impressive academic record in college and we wish them the best of luck.” remarked Berj Akian, CEO of ClassLink.
