The Future of Educational Technology:
ClassLink + ClassMate

WEEHAWKEN, NJ, APRIL 9, 2008 – ClassLink – the Future of Instructional Technology – is pleased to announce the acquisition of ClassMate, a Career and Technical Ed focused software company based in Bath, PA.  The alliance between the two organizations is a natural fit and will provide K-12 educators with expanded products, services, technical support, training staff and improved documentation and resources.

With improving solutions and access for educational technology as the focus of both organizations, ClassLink CEO Berj Akian states, “This is the best kind of merger – first and foremost, our customers will have expanded options and technology resources.  The two companies share a common vision and will be able to immediately enhance products and services to our clients.”

Kathleen Warke, ClassLink VP of Career & Technical Education, echoes, “For the past several years, our corporate mission has been to become the leading student information system for Career and Technical education.  Our partnership with ClassLink brings us one step closer to the accomplishment of that goal.”

ClassMate’s proprietary software for student administration and curriculum management was developed in partnership with administrators, teachers, and counselors.  Keeping an eye towards the future, ClassMate developers designed the technology to promote school-wide accountability, in compliance with key federal and state legislation, geared towards improving our nation's Career and Technical education system.

The offerings of the two companies complement one another.  ClassMate (www.classlink.com/products/classmate) software allows schools to manage school calendars, curriculum, admissions, attendance, work ethics grading, skill grading, knowledge grading, discipline, special populations, state reporting, system rollover, security ID system, student medical and injury data, student parking permits, and school-to-home communications.  ClassLink, in addition to a suite of platform management products that allow for 24/7 computer access, provides application server solutions and support programs, including Active Directory training programs for IT administrators and staff.
